Pinewood Beach Villa – Surface area: 240m2 – 10.000m2 communal gardens

A fabulous Holiday Villa located in a private condominium, ideal for families and sea lovers, 15 minutes walking distance to Guincho Beach. A stylish residence located on the Atlantic coast, a 30 minute drive from Lisbon and only a 10 minute drive from the charming town centre of Cascais.

Guests will find beautiful details throughout the villa, gathered from the owner’s vacations around the world. The villa is entered at ground level, the entrance hall leads to all areas in the ground floor.

On the right side of the hall you will find a bedroom, with two twin beds that convert to large double bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. Further along, you will find the guests’ washroom.

On the other side we find the fully equipped kitchen with access to the dining area, that seats 8 guests comfortably.

The living and dining rooms are separated by an unique fire place. The comfortable living room has satellite TV and beautiful large windows with view over the garden.

Both the dining and living room open onto the cozy garden, which has a separate dining and lounging area, perfect for barbecues and relaxing.

Upstairs, we can find 2 double bedrooms that share a bathroom with secluded shower and toilet areas and a bathtub. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds that convert to large double bed and 2 bunk beds, with en-suite bathroom.

Location
Perched on the foothills of Sintra’s UNESCO World National Park, Pinewood Beach Villa is located in Charneca, a small village between the declared World Heritage village of Sintra and the chic yet disarmingly charming town of Cascais. Regardless of its new modern edge, Cascais maintains the tradition of a fishing village where you can find beautiful shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife.

The house enjoys an exceptional location close to Lisbon and the wonderful beaches of the Estoril and Cascais coast. You’ll find the most well known one, Guincho beach where yearly windsurfing and surfing championships take place, is 20 minutes walking from the villa, and can be viewed from the gardens and the pool. The extensive white sand expanses, the untouched dunes and the rocky and wild landscape of Guincho beach makes it a unique place to visit and enjoy. One of the largest casinos of Europe is located in nearby Estoril coast town, with its gaming rooms, bars, restaurants and evening shows.

Along the coast 10 minutes away, you will find several seafood restaurants with magnificent sea views where you can taste the best fish and delight with the freshness of a daily catch. Many gourmet restaurants are found, a few with Michelin stars.

Golf players will find the 36-hole golf course of Quinta da Marinha five minutes car distance from the house and four others nearby in Estoril and Cascais area. Tennis, horse riding and sailing are also close by.

You will find plenty nightlife entertainment such as discos, bars, and restaurants a 10 minutes car distance from the house in Sintra, Cascais and Estoril and at a 20 minutes distance to Lisbon.

Pinewood Beach Villa is nestled in Charneca do Guincho, with a range of supermarket, shops and restaurants walking distance. There is also a beautiful countryclub nearby, where guests can book horseback riding lessons and tours in the countryside, or have a meal enjoying the beautiful sea views.

Sintra, a world heritage site with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and enjoying ravishing views is a lovely 15 minute car drive across the mountain.
Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. The summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais.

Guincho beach scenery, 15 minutes walking

Closer in the other direction is the coastal resort of Cascais, where you will find superb beaches, restaurants, night-life and shopping, as well as a charming old town with rewarding site-seeing. Regardless of it’s new modern edge, nearby Cascais maintains the tradition of a fishing village where you can find beautiful shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife.
Lisbon is half an hour away, and with easy access to the motorway system a number of other world class cultural and historic sites make an enjoyable day trip. Lisbon boasts world heritage sites, and a rich cultural, culinary and night life.

Beaches
Guincho beach, world renowned for its beauty and surfing, is 15 minutes walking distance via a scenic route. Many other sandy beaches are close by, each with its individual character. Less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast several beaches are well worth exploring, as are some excellent fish restaurants.

Surfing
The Cascais Coastline is blessed all year round with generous swells coming through from the Atlantic Ocean. Surfers may choose from dozens of different breaks, from fast and hollow beach breaks to lazy or rippable point breaks. Just 15 minutes walking distance to the Villa, the 1km long Guincho beach offers 4 to 5 different sand bar breaks, each with its character.

Golf
Six of Portugal’s best golf courses are within a 15 minute drive, offering new and surprising landscapes, along with first class services and facilities. Portugal is a golfer’s paradise where it is possible to play almost every day of the year, with plenty to offer both beginners and advanced players.

Weather
Portugal is a year round destination. Hot and sunny in the summer, with a refreshing breeze off the sea; windier months are July and August; Spring and Autumn are mild, ideal for sightseeing. Rainy days can occur in winter, but it is rarely cold.

Getting there and around
Less than two hours flight from most European cities and seven hours from New York, the house can be reached by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 30-40 minutes.

Located in the protected national park of Cascais-Sintra, the property is only 1.5km from the motorway and so half an hour from Lisbon and its cultural attractions and night life. Taxis are available and cheap, and there is an efficient bus system from the village to Cascais and Sintra; but to get the best out of your holiday we advise car hire, as there is so much to see which is not accessible by public transport.

Prices are quoted for up to 8 adults.
During peak season: normal turnover day is Saturday and surcharge may apply for rentals of less than 2 weeks.
Booking conditions: 20% minimum paid at time of booking and balance 2 months before arrival.
