Villa Bicuda – Surface area : 400m2
This luxurious and spacious villa is situated just outside the exclusive Quinta da Marinha resort overlooking a landscape of pine woods and beautiful nature; a wonderful smell of eucalyptus and pine floats in the air.
Entering the villa through the colourful mexican style hall, the atrium leads to a flood of light streaming through the French windows of the spacious dining room ahead. The living room is divided into two seating areas, one centred around the stone-built fireplace, the other equipped with a Satellite TV. Both are bathed in sunlight and provide seating for up to twelve people; from the comfortable sofas, the broad vista looks across the garden to the amazing swimming pool. There is direct access to the patio and gardens from this room.
Straight ahead from the atrium the dining room has a dark wood table and eight sturdy chairs; the furniture is in keeping with the clean feel of the house. The modern, fully equipped kitchen, accessed from the atrium, has plenty of storage space and surfaces including a breakfast table. The tranquil garden has a table and chairs and a barbecue for “al fresco” cooking.
On the ground floor there is also one single bedroom with a window opening to the garden. There is a WC on this floor.
The spacious first floor is accessed via stairs from the atrium. All this floor is surrounded by a terrace and flooded with light. On this floor there is a second small living room, which can double up as a twin bedroom. This living room has a TV with DVD player and a games area.
On this floor four more bedrooms are found. The master bedroom, to the right, is a double bedroom with an en-suite marble bathroom with jacuzzi and double lavatory, and separate dressing area; the second bedroom is a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and double lavatory; the third is a single bedroom and the fourth a single bedroom with private bathroom. All the bedrooms have their own balcony and spectacular views of the well kept garden. The house has plenty of storage space. Additional beds can be provided for larger parties on request.
The garden is kept in perfect condition by the gardener and the stunning swimming pool with its dramatic cascade is cleaned once a week. Behind the cascade we find another shower room, ideal for use after a swim. On the other side of the house there is plenty of private parking both in and out of the garage.
There is a ping pong table and other games for the entertainment of guests.

Location
Villa Bicuda is located within a short drive from the centre of Cascais, in a privileged area just next to the Quinta da Marinha golf course. Lisbon airport is an easy 30 minute drive.
The villa is situated just outside the prestigious Quinta da Bicuda and Quinta da Marinha resorts, large protected areas boasting luxury hotels, various golf courses, health clubs, restaurants and swimming pools. The setting is peaceful and green, 4km from beautiful Guincho beach and less than 4km from cosmopolitan Cascais and Estoril. The motorway is only 3 km away, making Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra accessible in under 30 minutes.
The charming, historic town centre of Cascais is 5 minutes away by local bus or car. There is plenty to visit as well as restaurants, nightlife, a boat marina, cultural events, cinemas with films in English and shopping.
Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres.
The newly opened Paula Rego Casa das Historias Modern Art Museum is a short drive away.
Beaches
Guincho beach, world renowned for its beauty and surfing, is four kilometres away. Many other sandy beaches are close by, each with its individual character. Less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast several beaches are well worth exploring, as are some excellent fish restaurants.
Golf
A golfer’s paradise: the Quinta da Marinha golf courses are at your doorstep and you can benefit from discounted rates. Six of Portugal’s best golf courses are within a 15 minute drive, offering new and surprising landscapes, along with first class services and facilities. Weather
Portugal is a year round destination. Hot and sunny in the summer, with a refreshing breeze off the sea; windier months are July and August; Spring and Autumn are mild, ideal for sightseeing. Rainy days can occur in winter, but it is rarely cold.
Getting there and around
Less than two hours flight from most European cities and seven hours from New York, the house can be reached by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 30-40 minutes.
Located near the main accesses to Cascais, the property is only 3km from the motorway and so half an hour from Lisbon and its cultural attractions and night life. Taxis are available and cheap, and there is an efficient bus system from the village to Cascais and Sintra; but to get the best out of your holiday we advise car hire, as there is so much to see which is not accessible by public transport.
Walking distance from the house, we reach the pretty resort of Bicuda, with its supermarket, bakery, coffee shop, restaurants and shops.
Quinta da Marinha resort, with its health club, golf courses, riding club, hotel and restaurants is about 1km away
