Private resort beach a few steps away!
Villa Turquoise – surface area: 150 m2
This chic Algarve holiday villa is named after its beautiful colour scheme by renowned Portuguese decorator Graça Viterbo. Villa Turquoise is set within a beautiful resort with everything at hand; the resort has the feel of a beautifully kept moorish village, with its typically paved streets and whitewashed houses. Located at the edge of the resort, almost in front of the beach, the villa has plenty nearby and yet is quiet.
The beautiful house is on 1 floor, decorated with flair by its French expatriate owner. He will be happy to share the many delights of this wonderful region with his guests, and guide and organise many activities on request. A superior service is offered at this villa, with gifts and generous touches, such as extra fluffy towels and robes, a chilled bottle on arrival, etc…
With many rooms lovely patios and surrounded by beautiful gardens, Villa Turquoise is designed to be enjoyed both inside and outside. The feel is cool and modern, with plenty of reminders of its sea-side location.
The living room is decorated with modern Italian B&B design furniture, with B&O cable TV with surround cinema sound. There is a lovely fireplace for colder winter nights. The living room opens both into an internal patio and the back patio, allowing the light to pour in in all directions and catching a refreshing freeze. The spacious dining area is very functional, with white modren furniture, and next to the separate fully equipped kitchen.
The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage space, accessed to the left of the living room. The first bedroom, in restful turquoise tones, has two single beds, each with its second pull out bed, for a maximum of 4. This bedroom has a TV-set. The next bedroom, in light blue and red colours, has six bunk beds, sleeping a maximum of 6 people; this bedroom is the favourite among children, and also has its own TV-set. These 2 bedrooms share a bathroom with bath, shower head and bidet. Further on we find a spacious double bedroom, decorated in tones of light green and white, its en-suite bathroom. Finally, the fourth spacious double bedroom is in turquoise and white tones, overlooking the outside patio; this bedroom has an en-suite fantastic bathroom with cabin shower complete with hydro-jets, for invigorating or relaxing massages, and incorporated radio; this bedroom also has a large flat screen TV.
The living room opens onto a charming patio and is ideal for quiet moments of relaxation, private sunbathing and “al fresco” meals, specially with its barbecue. Modern good quality furniture is provided. The patio has a great outdoor hot water shower, ideal to take sand off after the beach, and entering the house sand free.

Location
A perfect destination all year round, the Algarve offers unique beaches, numerous water sports, excellent sea-front fish restaurants and fabulous golf courses, as well as tennis centres, and all kinds of attractions.
The villa is situated a luxury quiet resort by Alvor in the Portimão area of the Algarve. The resort recreates an authentic traditional village and is known for its soothing turquoise colour scheme by famous decorator Graça Viterbo. The resort was designed by the renowned landscaping architect Ribeiro Telles, and the magnificent free form cliff-top swimming pool is emblematic of his work.
You will find here a place to unwind and recharge your batteries; if you wish to leave you car for the length of your stay, everything can be reached by foot; equally, if you prefer action packed holidays, you will find plenty to do. The resort is quiet and family oriented, where kids can have a certain autonomy with plenty to entertain them and quickly make friends. For the younger ones there are playgrounds and kids clubs. It’s a safe environment with 24 hour security.
There are many activities and culinary experiences, all within walking distance. Pestana hotel Alvor is within walking distance, with all its facilities such as SPA, indoor hot water pool, restaurants, etc.

Beaches
The beautiful “3 irmãos” beach is private to the resort and is accessible in 5 minutes by lift, across the trendy restaurant and bar Caniço. It is a safe beach with lifeguard. There is a magnificent restaurant on the beach as well as a snack-bar. Water sports activities can be organised there or nearby (see below).
Within 5 minutes walk there is also the unspoilt 8km Alvor beach, ideal for long romantic walks or morning jogging.
Many other beaches are of course easily reached with a short car drive, if you manage to leave the resort!
Water Sports
Every kind of water sport for all ages, skills and tastes is available and can be pre-arranged for your holiday, such as:

Gastronomy
At the resort there are a many restaurants and bars to choose from, providing anything from a light snack to the luxury and elegance of a gourmet evening meal. The whole region is famous for its sea-front fish and seafood restaurants. The village of Alvor is a traditional fishing port known for its delicious simple fish restaurants at excellent prices.
Tennis
The resort has 2 tennis courts (paying) and there is a tennis club with clay courts 5 minutes walk from the house. The club is very friendly and partners can be found easily: friendly tournaments are organised.
Golf Information
Portugal is a paradise where the golfer can play almost every day of the year, and the Algarve is now internationally recognised for its golf courses and playing conditions.
There is a driving range walking distance.
Within a 5 minute car drive there is the renowned 18 hole Alto golf course. Within 30 minute drive there are many other courses (such as Penina, Palmares, Carvoeiro…).
A team of professionals are at your disposal to make each moment unforgettable from the 1st tee to the Clubhouse.
Other Experiences
The resort is within a protected area with magnificent landscape. Many other activities can be arranged, such as cliff top and nature walks or bike rides; equipment can be provided by prior arrangement. The national park of Ria de Alvor is within 5 minutes drive, with its unspoilt dunes.
Getting there and around the area
Most European cities have direct flights to Faro airport, taking approximately 2 hours, and there are also national flights from Oporto and Lisbon. New York and Rio de Janeiro are about 8 hours away. The Villa is reached by car from Faro airport in 45 minutes and from Lisbon airport in 3 hours.
Once you are at the resort it is possible to enjoy a car-free holiday as everything is walking distance!

During peak season: normal turnover day is Saturday and surcharge may apply for rentals of less than 2 weeks.
