Located in the residential area of Estoril, Villa da Luz is a large luxurious family mansion, walking distance to the beaches in Estoril ( 10 minutes ). The Casino, restaurants and lifestyle attractions are a 5 minute drive from the Villa.

The villa is composed of two floors, so there is plenty of room for a large family, or for two families, looking for privacy.
In the main floor we find the entrance hall with access to the living areas, the kitchen, social bathroom and a private wing.
The living room opens to the dining area both with pleasant green views.
The private wing is composed of three bedrooms and two bathrooms

By the garden floor guest can find a play room with cinema, another three bedrooms and three en-suite bathrooms complete this floor.
The master suite has a walk-in closet, gym, SPA, jacuzzi and a en-suite bathroom featuring a two head shower.

Accessed from the terrace there is a twin bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

A large sunny terrace flows to the garden and the swimming pool, perfect location to cool down or watch the kids play after a long day.

Located in Estoril, with its lovely sandy beaches and Cascais nearby, Villa Luz is less than 5 minutes by car from the world famous Casino Estoril. Lisbon is easily reached by a pleasant coastal train ride in 20 minutes or by car (20km). Sintra is a bus ride away. Within a short walk you will find plenty of useful services: supermarkets, pharmacies, baker and pastry shops, restaurants and banks, among others.

Estoril became famous during the Second World War as a safe haven for european nobility and spies. The beautiful chalets defining the landscape are a remain from this era. Its micro climate is a constant attraction all year round, hot in the summer and mild in winter.

The Estoril Casino is the largest in Europe and a popular attraction, as well as the arts and crafts fair, both within easy reach.

The Cascais Marina, with its boats, restaurants and buzzing night-life is a 5 minute drive, or a pleasant 20 minute stroll along the seaside.

The centre of Cascais is 3km away, with its restaurants, shops, marina and cosmopolitan life. The coastal resort of Cascais has superb beaches, nigh-life and a charming old town with rewarding site-seeing.

Sintra, a world heritage site with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and enjoying ravishing views is a lovely 15 minute car drive away.

Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. The summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais.

Lisbon is 20 minutes away, and with easy access to the motorway system a number of other world class cultural and historic sites make an enjoyable day trip. Lisbon boasts world heritage sites, and a rich cultural, culinary and night life.
The motorway network puts the Knights Templars’ castle and chapels at Tomar and Batalha within an easy day trip, as well as the ancient university town of Coimbra.

Beaches
The lovely Paredao seaside walk at Estoril is 500m away, and boasts access to plenty of popular beaches from Sao Joao do Estoril to the centre of Cascais. Each beach has its unique feel and rewarding views, and features many facilities, such as sunlounges or restaurants.
Guincho beach, world renowned for its beauty and surfing, is eight kilometres away. Many other sandy beaches are close by, each with its individual character. Less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast several beaches are well worth exploring, as are some excellent fish restaurants.

Golf
Portugal is a paradise where the golfer can play almost every day of the year. Every course offers new and surprising landscapes, backed up by excellent services and facilities. Internationally renowned Estoril Golf course is less than 2 km away. There are 6 courses within an 8 km range, with plenty to offer beginner and advanced player alike.

Weather
Portugal is a year round destination. Hot and sunny in the summer, with a refreshing breeze off the sea; windier months are July and August; Spring and Autumn are mild, ideal for sightseeing. Rainy days can occur in winter, but it is rarely cold.

Getting there and around
Less than two hours flight from most European cities and seven hours from New York, the house can be reached by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 30 minutes. The pleasant coastal train stop at Estoril is also nearby within 500m, and the historic centre of Lisbon is accessible in 25 minutes.

Taxis are available and cheap, and the villa is so well located that you can opt for a car free holiday. However, to get the best out of your holiday we advise car hire, as there is so much to see which is not accessible by public transport.

Prices are quoted for up 8 people, additional people surcharge €100/week, for up to 16 people.
During peak season: normal turnover day is Saturday and surcharge may apply for rentals of less than 2 weeks.
Booking conditions: 20% minimum paid at time of booking, further 80% two months before arrival.
Security Deposit: €700, refundable at end of stay.
