Built as guest accommodation for the main house, the villa was designed to afford privacy and comfort for house guests, a tradition which continues to this day. With its own entrance gate, the villa is quiet, tastefully furnished and decorated with some fine contemporary paintings.

The main living room is spacious and airy, with seating and dining areas for eight and a working fireplace. The large kitchen is fully equipped and includes a pantry; a guest loo is accessed from the living room.

Adjacent to the living room is a lovely large 20 m long winter terrace, beautifully decorated, with plenty of place for sitting and for meals during spring and summer. The terrace is closed-in by glass windows which open back completely in warm days.

Giving onto the long terrace, are 4 spacious bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, desk, seating area and built-in wardrobes. One of the bedrooms has a large king-size bed, and the other 3 are all twin rooms. The two middle rooms have a connecting door.

Outdoors, the Guest House has its own private area where you can lie in the sun, have a BBQ, or dine under the stars. A large marble table and wooden furniture are provided. The villa is heated in winter and the beautiful fireplace provides additional comfort and atmosphere.

The Guest house is set within a property comprising 14 acres of mature gardens which includes site specific contemporary sculptures by Portuguese and Spanish artists. The property also has a 400 tree organic orchard and a vegetable garden, the produce of which you can enjoy during your stay. For those who enjoy energetic walks, the property extends into the hill ahead, where you can go and explore – the whole property is walled-in.

Satellite TV, BBQ and winter heating are also provided.

Ideal for a family vacation or for up to four adult couples, guests can enjoy the beautiful grounds – which are a paradise for children to play in and perfect for long walks. The grounds are shared with the owners who also have houses in the large property. The owners are delighted to recommend restaurants and shops, and to give any directions, information or local hints to make guests’ stay more enjoyable.
The owners live in the main house September to July and take great pleasure in welcoming their guests. With four children of English origin, they speak English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Location
The villa is situated by the village of Manique – 6 km from Estoril and Sintra, 8km from Cascais and 25 km from Lisbon.
The Cascais Marina, with its boats, restaurants and buzzing night-life is a 15 minute drive.

Beaches
The villa is within a private country estate, 10 to 15 minutes from the best beaches such as Cascais and Estoril with quiet waters and the world famous Guincho offering a wilder panorama with waves and surf. Praia da Adraga offers beautiful shelter on windy days.

Golf Information

Getting there and around
Two hours flight from most European cities and seven from New York, the Guest House is reached by car from Lisbon Airport in 30 minutes.
A car is essential for this holiday as there is no public transport to the Villa.

Prices are quoted for up to 8 people. Please enquire for smaller groups.
Booking conditions: 20% minimum paid at time of booking, further 40% two months before arrival and balance in cash on arrival.
Security Deposit: €800, refundable at end of stay.
Prices do not include Tourist Tax charged by Cascais/Sintra Municipality.
