The Valley at Estoril – indoor area: 370m2
Located in the quiet village of Pau Gordo near the centre of Estoril, The Valley villa is the ideal choice for exploring the Lisbon region and its surrounding area; close to the Estoril A5 motorway exit to Lisbon (20km), a 20 minute drive to Sintra, or a 20 minute walk into to the centre of Estoril, it is the perfect self-catering accommodation for those wishing to explore the Lisbon and surrounding area during their stay, and have all the comfort of a well equipped home with pool.
Within the secure private condominium and its gardens, each villa in the residence has its own private garden and parking area, which combines all the utility of a gated community, yet ensuring privacy to every villa.
The decoration project was personally managed by Sol Domus, to create the perfect holiday villa in the Cascais area.
The entrance hall connects to large living areas on the right side, with a separate dining area, both opening onto the private gardens via large all glass doors. To the front, there is a fully equipped SMEG kitchen, which also opens onto the poolside. The kitchen has a breakfast bar, and lovely views of green and blue. To the left, guests will find a guest toilet room, and a bedroom with two single beds and an en-suite shower room. This bedroom has its private deck connecting to the garden and the poolside.
Up the staircases onto the first floor, the hall connects to the large master suite on the right side, and to a family wing on the left side. The master bedroom has a large double bed, and a separate dressing area. The en-suite bathroom has a separate bathtub and a walk-in shower. The bedroom opens onto a private 40 square-metre terrace with beautiful marble flooring, overlooking the gardens, the pool and the valley, with the Sintra Hills in the backdrop and a dash of the Atlantic Ocean to the left. The family wing has its own living area, which opens onto one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a large bathroom. The double bedroom and the living space open both onto a nice terrace.
Downstairs, the massive 150 square metre garden floor space was by far the biggest challenge to our design team. The stairway hall is the games room, where guests will find a ping pong table. To the right, there is a 90 square-metre open-plan room, an ideal hideout for teenagers and children, with separate sleeping (for up to 4 people) and living areas. This room has its own access to the garden, and a full shower room. Please note this room is closed for parties of up to 8 guests (although it may be open upon request).
Outdoor, guests will find a perfectly square 1500m2 garden overlooking a beautiful valley, with unobstructed green views of the surrounding nature and the Sintra Hills. The massive 15*6 metres private swimming pool boasts the same pleasant views. Under a lovely porch guests will find an outdoor dining area with a barbecue station, and an outdoor lounge.

Location
Located in the lovely and quiet village of Pau Gordo, within a one minute drive of the centre of Estoril, with its lovely sandy beaches and Cascais. Lisbon is easily reached from this large holiday villa by a pleasant coastal train ride in 20 minutes or by car (20km). Sintra is a bus ride away.
Estoril became famous during the Second World War as a safe haven for european nobility and spies. The beautiful chalets defining the landscape are a reminder from this grand era. Its micro climate is a constant attraction all year round, pleasantly hot in the summer and mild in winter.
The Estoril Casino is the largest in Europe and a popular attraction, as well as the arts and crafts fair, both within easy reach.
The Cascais Marina, with its boats, restaurants and buzzing night-life is a 5 minute drive.
The house is located within a lovely private condominium, with its leafy surroundings ensuring a good level of privacy and safety.
The centre of Cascais is 5km away, with its restaurants, shops, marina and cosmopolitan life. The coastal resort of Cascais has superb beaches, nigh-life and a charming old town with rewarding site-seeing.
Sintra, a world heritage site with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and enjoying ravishing views is a lovely 15 minute car drive away.
Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. The summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais
Lisbon is 20 minutes away, and with easy access to the motorway system a number of other world class cultural and historic sites make an enjoyable day trip. Lisbon boasts world heritage sites, and a rich cultural, culinary and night life.
The motorway network puts the Knights Templars’ castle and chapels at Tomar and Batalha within an easy day trip, as well as the ancient university town of Coimbra.
Beaches
The lovely Paredao at Estoril is less than 3km away, and boasts access to plenty of popular beaches from Sao Joao do Estoril to the centre of Cascais. Each beach has its unique feel and rewarding views, and features many facilities, such as sunlounges or restaurants.
Guincho beach, world renowned for its beauty and surfing, is eight kilometres away. Many other sandy beaches are close by, each with its individual character. Less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast several beaches are well worth exploring, as are some excellent fish restaurants.
Golf
Portugal is a paradise where the golfer can play almost every day of the year. Every course offers new and surprising landscapes, backed up by excellent services and facilities. Internationally renowned Estoril Golf course is less than 1 km away. There are 6 courses within an 8 km range, with plenty to offer beginner and advanced player alike.
Weather
Portugal is a year round destination. Hot and sunny in the summer, with a refreshing breeze off the sea; windier months are July and August; Spring and Autumn are mild, ideal for sightseeing. Rainy days can occur in winter, but it is rarely cold.
Getting there and around
Less than two hours flight from most European cities and seven hours from New York, the house can be reached by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 30 minutes.
Taxis are available and cheap, and there is an efficient bus system from the village to Cascais and Sintra; but to get the best out of your holiday we advise car hire, as there is so much to see which is not accessible by public transport.
