The Troia Townhouse is located in the newest development in Troia Peninsula, the Pestana Troia Eco Resort. Located between the Sado Nature Reserve and the Troia Dunes Bio Reserve, this resort offers a modern approach to glamping, combining ultimate luxury and comfort, with a very ecological mindset.
Guests will enjoy the great selection of amenities offered by the resort: a massive outdoor swimming pool, an indoor heated swimming pool (available all year round), a well equipped gym, lovely cycling paths within the private resort grounds, and a private beach access. And the best part is that everything is walking distance to your townhouse. And if you don’t feel like walking, take one of our bicycles instead!

The interiors were graciously designed by the owner, and follow the same fashionable lines you will find in our Estoril Atlantic Villa listing.
From the entrance hall, one corridor connects to the bedrooms on your left, and one to the living areas on your right. The living areas are one with the outdoor deck and garden, and guests will realize they are in a very special place, where nature and luxury connect harmoniously.
From the corridor on the left, the master bedroom has a large double bed and a beautiful en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds, and the third has 3 single bunk beds. All three bedrooms have air-conditioning, for warmer summer nights.

An additional single bedroom may be available for guests upon request, please enquire.

Outdoor, guests will find many lounging areas by the private garden, and a small gate connecting to the swimming pool. Under the porch, the outdoor dining area and the barbecue station will probably be used just as much as the indoor dining room.

Whether you are looking for a a quiet stay and a deserted beach, or a groovy environment and popular spots, Troia has everything for everyone. A Shuttle service operates between Troia Resort to the North and Comporta to the South, so guests can enjoy day and night this great lifestyle destination. Surrounded by the Atlantic, Troia enjoys a privileged location on the west coast of Portugal: tranquility, pleasant water temperature, the beauty of the landscape and beach services such as sunbeds, cafés, and lifeguards are all found 2 minutes walk from your townhouse.
Trendy Comporta Beach is a 10 minute drive South.
The local beaches, with calm war waters, are an open invitation to enjoy Nature at its best.

Time and the elements formed the dunes in Troia over centuries. Native plants prevent erosion, maintaining the natural equilibrium and character of the landscape. Troia’s special location has a unique mix of vegetation, where palm trees grow alongside pine forests, providing refuges for a rich diversity of plant and animal life. The long sandy beach walking distance from the house, is exclusive to the condominium in which the house is set.
And of course Lisbon is an easy day trip, reached in less than an hour on the motorway or via a pleasant ferry ride.

Beaches
The peninsula of Troia is a protected extension of sand which is 17 km long and 1,2 km wide located south of Setubal, between the Sado Estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. This unique delta is a refuge for blue heron and purple heron, as well as numerous species of fish. It is also one of the rare places in Europe where you can observe dolphins and if your are very lucky swim with them. Here are found some of the most heavenly beaches in Portugal’s coast such as Ponta do Adoxe, Troiamar, Bico das Lulas and Atlântica, all of them facing the calm and clear sea of Setúbal. Comporta, the largest (60 km) sandy beach in Europe, is just a 10 minute drive away.

Water sports
Sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and rowing are all available in the safe bay of the Sado estuary, with surfing and kite surfing at Comporta beach.

Swimming Pool and Gym
Your private garden connects directly to the resort’s beautiful large outdoor swimming pool.
Guests will also find an indoor swimming pool and a fully equipped gym across the street from the entrance door.

Tennis and other activities
There are tennis courts and a multi-purpose sports ground within the private condominium (small fee may applies).

Golf
The amazing championship links Troia Golf, within the Troia Resort, is quite a significant challenge for keen players: expect very narrow fairways, sandy roughs and deep bunkers, in a beautiful scenery which hosted the Portuguese Open in the 1980’s and is consistently considered to be among the very best golf courses in Continental Europe.
You’ll find other first-class golf courses a short drive away, such as Quinta do Peru or Aroeira Clube de Campo.

Gastronomy and Nightlife
The region is famed for its gastronomy, combining a mix of the freshest fish and seafood with game.
Places like Dona Bia, Museu do Arroz or A Escola are local landmarks and lifestyle brands.
For party-goers, Comporta Cafe or the Casino clubs at Troia Resort are the popular places to be seen.
Five formal wine routes have been devised in the Setubal peninsula by the ‘Rota de Vinhos’ association, combining wine tasting with sightseeing, arts and nature.

Getting there and around
2 hours flight from most European cities and 7 hours from New York, the villa is reached by car from Lisbon airport in 1 hour. Lisbon and Setubal are alternatively accessed via a picturesque ferry ride crossing the Sado river estuary where the Sado dolphins live. Faro airport is 2 hours away.

Within the Troia peninsula, you will find all the amenities you require for your day to day enjoyment: beach, tennis, golf, SPA, hotel facilities, supermarket, restaurants, club house, to name a few, many of those walking distance to the villa.

Although the resort is perfect for a car free holiday, a car is recommended to enjoy the many delights of the area fully.

Prices are quoted for up to 6 people. Suitable for up to 8 people, upon request.
During peak season: normal turnover day is Saturday and surcharge may apply for rentals of less than 2 weeks.
Booking conditions: 20% minimum paid at time of booking, further 40% two months before arrival, and balance in cash on arrival.
Security Deposit: €500, refundable at end of stay.
