The Arrabida Estate is an exquisite holiday estate secluded within the Arrabida Nature Park, 40km South of Lisbon, on the North Bank of the unique Sado Estuary, home to  more than 600 protected species in Europe such as Dolphins and the Pied Stilt, symbol of the exotic Troia Peninsula, on the South Bank.

The 4 hectare private estate is located in one of the best areas of the Arrábida Mountain Range, in the Estrada dos Picheleiros road, connecting Azeitão to some of the most beautiful scenarios and beaches this enchanting land has to offer.

The large sitting room is sunny and tastefully decorated, and overlooks a large patio area, which spreads from one end to the other across the villa’s facade, boasting stunning views over the Arrabida mountains, ideal for outdoor meals or reading a book in absolute silence.

The villa is built on two floors, and most rooms on the ground floor connect to the poolside. The Villa has six good sized bedrooms, four of which have en-suite bathroom. Guests will enjoy ravishing green and mountain views from every bedroom, and wake up to the sound of birds and nature. There are four bedrooms on the first floor, and two bedrooms on the ground floor.

The house is nearby Portinho da Arrabida beach 

Outside, the large private grounds are perfect for long hikes, enjoying the ravishing views of the countryside. Facing the villa, the 8*4 metre private swimming pool offers refreshment and hours of fun. By the poolside, guests will find lounging areas with deckchairs, a hammock and an outdoor dining area with a fully equipped barbecue station.

Guests are welcome to pick and enjoy the delicious organic fruit and vegetables grown in the Quinta. Children will enjoy discovering countryside features in a safe environment!

Location
The Arrabida Estate is a stunning 4 hectares private estate, to which guests have exclusive use, is located in the Parque Nacional da Serra da Arrabida, 5 Km away from beautiful beaches and 3 Km away from Vila Nogueira de Azeitao- a small historic town sorrounded by the national park and well known for its vineyards and wine cellars open to the public. Arrabida beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, and boasts a natural bay with calm waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. the area is also famous for its food so it won’t be difficult to find high quality well priced local restaurants as well as top quality ones. Taste the delights of the region from the traditional cheese, deemed to be one of the best in the country, to the Torta de Azeitao, a much sought after local pastry, and the famous Moscatel wine, a sweet wine served as an aperitif. The local speciality is of course a great variety of fresh fish dishes.

The beautiful villa, is situated in the national park of Arrabida, established to protect the beautiful landscape and rich variety of wild life, including eagles, wildcats and badgers.

The surrounding mountains are the perfect place to go for a walk, and excursions can be organised with the local nature tour companies.

The villa is just 3 Km away from the small delightfull historic town of Vila Nogueira de Azeitao, which is known for its vineyards and wine cellars; the town is a perfect place to try out the local cuisine.

The local white sandy beaches are as close as 5 Km and the Arrabida beach is known to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. With its calm waters, its ideal for swimming and snorkeling.

Quinta do Peru just 10 Kms from the villa, Tróia (20 kms and a ferry away) a difficult course but one of the most beautiful in Portugal, and Riba Golf (40 Kms away)

The magnificent bay of Portinho de Arrabida, with its clear quiet waters, it is ideal for watersports; boat rental can be arranged on request.

Optional maid service
The house caretaker is available for cleaning and cooking by prior arrangement; she is a gifted cook and can cook you delicious local and basic foreign dishes.

Getting there and around
Two hours flight from most European cities and seven from New York, the villa is reached by car from Lisbon Airport in 45 minutes.
A car is essential for this holiday as there is no public transport to the Villa.
The Algarve-Lisbon highway is 12 kilometres away.
The nearest railway station is at 15 Km, in Coina.

Prices are quoted for up to 8 people. Add €100/week per additional person. Maximum 14 people.
During peak season: normal turnover day is Saturday and surcharge may apply for rentals of less than 2 weeks.
Booking conditions: 20% minimum paid at time of booking, further 40% two months before arrival, and balance on arrival in cash.
Refundable Security Deposit: €500, due 1 month prior to arrival.
