Cascais Design Villa is located in a discrete private condominium in Cascais; this stunning property has a massive area of 800m2 and modern architecture. The condominium itself is composed of two villas: each has its own private gated plot of +3000 square metres, with the added feature of the private secure grounds of the gated community, which has an extensive green area. The best materials have been used throughout and the design makes for a truly memorable experience.

The luxury Cascais Design holiday Villa is close to the motorway to Lisbon (25km), a 15 minute drive to Sintra, or 5 minute by car into to the centre of Cascais, making it the perfect base for those wishing to explore the area during their stay.

The interiors feature the best materials , such as marble bathrooms with custom marble tile design. Its modern architecture is highlighted by 4 metre tall ceilings and extra large all-glass walls so you can enjoy a great view and amazing light from every angle.

The villa has 3 floors. On the ground floor we find the feature hall, the spacious 90m2 living room with access to the garden and a fantastic decked pool, the dining room, the modern fitted kitchen and one twin bedroom, with its en-suite bathroom and private terrace. Living areas are vast and boast pleasant green views.

All-glass doors open both from the living and the dining rooms, creating two different terraces by the pool. In order to ensure entertainment for both adults and children, there is cable TV with international channels and a DVD player.

During winter, the interior is warm and welcoming thanks to the sophisticated fireplace; in Summer time, there is air conditioning in all rooms. The dining room connects to the outdoor dining terrace, and each seats up to 14.

The airy and fully equipped kitchen has a modern design and is very functional with a breakfast area, and sophisticated equipment such as a steam oven.

The master suite occupies one full wing of the first floor. With +100 square metres, you have your own private 8*2 metres long balcony facing the bed, with green views and the sea at the distance. A 10 metre long walk-in closet connects to the luxurious master bathroom, which has a large Jacuzzi tub, and a separate walk-in shower. The bathroom is furnished with exquisite marble stone.

Three large bedrooms occupy the right wing of the first floor. Each of the three bedrooms have large closets, en-suite bathrooms and a private balcony.

The fifth bedroom is located on the ground floor, and has two very large single beds (which can be used as doubles), en-suite bathroom and a private balcony.

By the garden floor, and surrounding the beautiful tropical winter garden, guests will find a large bedroom with two double beds, with views of the interior of the swimming pool, which generates a very cool environment. A full shower room is located next to this bedroom.

Also by the garden floor, guests will find the cinema room, access to the garage and laundry room, and access to the seventh room, which is mostly used by the family housekeeper. Although it does not have the luxurious fittings as the other bedrooms, there is a double bed, a full en-suite shower room, a TV and air-conditioning, and there is plenty of room for two adults in privacy.

The garden and the swimming pool are the perfect place to cool down or watch the kids play after a long day. Barbecue and garden furniture are available for those wishing to cook and eat outdoors. The villa has its own spacious parking for up to 4 cars, in addition to safe condominium parking.

The tennis court is accessed via the condominium gardens and is shared with another villa.

Please note a €500/week supplement applies to open the Spa facilites, which includes a larger Jacuzzi and a Turkish bath, and a small gym.

Location
Cascais Design Villa is situated in a private condominium in Cascais suburbs, a secluded residential area within 5 minutes by car of the centre of Cascais. The villa is located in a quiet area and the setting is peaceful and green, 5km from beautiful Guincho beach and 2 km from cosmopolitan Cascais and Estoril. The motorway is only close, making Lisbon, Cascais and Sintra accessible in under 30 minutes.

The centre of Cascais is 1km away, with its restaurants, shops, marina and cosmopolitan life. The coastal resort of Cascais has superb beaches, nigh-life and a charming old town with rewarding site-seeing.

Sintra, a world heritage site with its castle, palaces and gardens set in lush vegetation and enjoying ravishing views is a lovely 15 minute car drive across the mountain.
Locally, there is a huge choice of the latest films in original language with over twenty screens in four local cinema complexes reachable within 10 minutes, as are two attractive shopping centres. The summer brings international festivals; classical music and ballet in Sintra, jazz in Estoril and fireworks in Cascais

Lisbon is half an hour away, and with easy access to the motorway system a number of other world class cultural and historic sites make an enjoyable day trip. Lisbon boasts world heritage sites, and a rich cultural, culinary and night life.
The motorway network puts the Knights Templar’s’ castle and chapels at Tomar and Batalha within an easy day trip, as well as the ancient university town of Coimbra.

Guincho Beach
Famous Guincho Beach, world renowned for its natural beauty and surfing, is a quick 5 minute drive away, along a spectacular scenic road. You can go there by car or bus, walking or cycling through a promenade created for this purpose, it is a very pleasant ride of 20 minutes. This is a perfect beach for water sports such as surf, kitesurf and windsurfs.

Cascais local Beaches
There is a long stretch of beaches in Cascais, each with its individual character and charm. Most beaches provide amenities such as sunbeds and parasols, and there are numerous restaurants and cafés on the adjacent promenade “Paredao”. Several beaches less than half an hour’s drive North along the coast are well worth exploring, as there are some excellent fish restaurants.

Weather
Portugal is a year round destination. Hot and sunny in the summer, with a refreshing breeze off the sea; windier months are July and August; Spring and Autumn are mild, ideal for sightseeing. Rainy days can occur in winter, but it is rarely cold.

Getting there and around
Less than two hours flight from most European cities and seven hours from New York, the villa can be reached by car or taxi from Lisbon Airport in 40 minutes via the A5 motorway or the more scenic road along the river to Cascais.
A car is recommended to fully enjoy the many delights of the area. There is a bus stop nearby and Cascais train station and centre is only 5 km and the picturesque train ride along the Tagus river estuary to Lisbon takes 40 minutes. There is a full variety of local shops and restaurants within walking distance. Taxis are close by or can be ordered.
